Set against the rolling hills of Midway, Utah, this summer wedding at Soldier Hollow embraced the beauty of the surrounding landscape with an intentionally understated approach to design. Guests celebrated around panoramic mountain views, soft neutral textures, and thoughtful details that felt both elevated and approachable. The result was a wedding that felt deeply connected to its setting while remaining effortlessly elegant.
The Design Direction
The design centered on organic textures, natural materials, and a restrained color palette that allowed the landscape to remain the focal point. Cane details, warm wood accents, linen textiles, and sculptural white florals created a soft foundation, while vibrant orchid blooms introduced moments of unexpected color throughout the celebration. The overall aesthetic balanced modern simplicity with a relaxed garden-inspired atmosphere, creating a space that felt refined without feeling formal.
Execution
Guest experience guided every planning decision, from the scenic procession through the meadow to the seamless transition between outdoor and indoor spaces. Ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were intentionally designed to highlight different perspectives of the venue while maintaining a cohesive visual story throughout the day. By allowing the natural beauty of Soldier Hollow to take center stage, every detail felt purposeful, creating a celebration that was both memorable and effortlessly welcoming.
